Access as well as manage QuickBooks Desktop Files with One Intuit
Account
In order to access and manage QuickBooks files with one
Intuit Account, there are going to be three scenarios that we will discuss in
detail.
Scenario 1: No Prompt for Intuit Account Setup or Login
If you are not asked for the Intuit account set up or
log in, then in that case, you can continue to make use of your normal company
file that you already have.
Scenario 2: If you successfully sign into the company file with the
Intuit account set up request
In case you come across this option, your client will
have to link their account to their company file.
Non-admin
If you are an accountant who is reviewing your client’s
file then choose the non-admin option. If you manage the company’s financial
actions on the admin’s behalf and then select the non-admin only tab followed
by continue. QuickBooks will now close the Intuit Account prompt and after 14
days you will be required to sign-in to the file again so as to work on it.
Admin
If you are an accountant who does all the tasks for the
client then you should choose the admin option.
Also, if one manages the company and its financial actions, Admin option
should be chosen. After this you have to provide your email address and select
the Continue tab. Now provide the Intuit Account password and then click on the
OK button. All these steps will now allow you access to work on the file.
Scenario 3: If you are asked to sign into the Intuit Account once you
sign into the company file
In case you want to access your client’s information you
have to ask him/her to approve your QuickBooks
access. If the client has already linked the Intuit account to
the company file you will be able to see the User ID prompt. The email address
might not be yours, so might have to replace yours and then continue by
entering the password.
You by now should be able to access QuickBooks Files
