Fix QuickBooks 2022 installer keeps forcing reboot, won't install

The process may feel tiring and frustrating if the installer keeps causing issues. But don’t worry, it’s fixable! Here are the solutions you can try to fix your QuickBooks 2022 installer from rebooting your computer again and again:

Solution 1: Start your computer in Selective startup mode

·        Starting your computer in Selective startup mode is recommended as it makes sure no other applications stop you from completing this task.

·        Open Run command (press Windows + R keys).

·        Type msconfig in the box and press OK.

·        Go to the General tab and click on Selective startup and Load system services.

·        Go to the Services tab and press Hide all Microsoft Services.


·        Select Disable all and uncheck the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox.

·        The Windows Installer checkbox must be selected from the list of services.

·        Press Restart on the System Configuration window.

·        Try Installing QuickBooks again.

 

Solution 2: Go back to normal startup mode after successful installation of QuickBooks

·        Open Run command and type msconfig in the box then select OK.

·        Go to the General tab, click on Normal startup.


·        Press OK.

·        Once on the System Configuration window, press Restart.

 

Solution 3: Edit security permissions for Temp folder

·        Press the Windows key on your keyboard.

·        Type %temp% in the Search box and press Enter.

·        After the Windows TEMP folder is open, do a right-click and click on Properties.

·        On the Properties window, select the Security tab and then select Edit.

·        Highlight your Windows username.

·        Under the Allow column, check on the Full Control checkbox.

·        Click OK twice.

·        Re-install QuickBooks program.
